South Jersey Catholic Medical Guild of the Diocese of Camden

The South Jersey Catholic Medical Guild of the Diocese of Camden serves Catholic physicians and healthcare professionals throughout South Jersey by providing comprehensive professional support grounded in Catholic principles and medical ethics. Since its establishment in 2003 and elevation to Guild status in 2018, the organization has offered members access to spiritual guidance, continuing medical education, and networking opportunities that connect healthcare providers who share a commitment to faith-based medical practice. Members benefit from CME credits at regional and national conferences, educational resources on Catholic perspectives regarding contemporary healthcare issues such as end-of-life care, physician-assisted suicide, pro-life advocacy, and stem cell research. The Guild facilitates meaningful professional relationships among Catholic physicians in the Camden area, enabling deeper mutual support and understanding within a community of like-minded practitioners. Additionally, members gain opportunities to participate in medical missions and volunteer healthcare projects, extending their professional calling beyond individual patient care. The organization operates as an autonomous chapter while maintaining alignment with the National Catholic Medical Association, headquartered in Philadelphia, ensuring members benefit from both local and national professional networks. Through regular events including the Annual White Mass and Communion Breakfast, member newsletters, and direct communication channels, the South Jersey Catholic Medical Guild maintains an active community dedicated to upholding the principles of Catholic faith and morality in medical science and practice.
